Searching with WebCollection Plus

To start your search, enter your search word and click one of the search icons.

Note: If you click on a search icon without entering a search word, WebCollection Plus takes you to the first item in the collection.

 

To search for titles that have the word dog somewhere in their record, type dog and click the Keyword icon.

 

To search for the title The Hero and the Crown, type hero and the crown and click the Title icon.

 

To search for a title written by Judy Blume, type blume, judy and click the Author icon.

 

To search for a title about Abraham Lincoln, type lincoln or presidents and click the Subject icon.

 

To search for the titles in the series The Lord of the Rings, type lord of the rings and click the Series icon.

 

To search for a title with the call number 005.4 TOW, type 005.4 tow and click the Call # icon.

 

 

To search for a title in the Fall Fun Books category, type Fall Fun Books and click the Category icon. (Category searches are not available for Union Catalog Plus.)

 

To search for titles about the care of pets, especially dogs but not about cats, you want to use a Power search.

 

To search a variety of sources all at once, click the One Search icon.

 

To search for Accelerated Reader titles, click the AR icon. For instructions, click this icon.

 

To search for Scholastic Reading Counts! titles, click the Reading Counts icon. For instructions, click this icon.

 

Lexile search allows you to search by a Lexile Measure and keywords. For instructions, click this icon.

 

To browse or search for a state standard, and then find the web sites and library materials that support it, click the Standards icon. (State Standards searches are not available for Union Catalog Plus.)

 

To browse specifically for web pages (and not materials in the library), click the Express button. (WebPath Express is not available for Union Catalog Plus.)

 

The Bookbag allows you to build a bibliography. You can add items from the Title Information page. From within the Bookbag, you can sort, edit, or empty it. You can then use your browser's toolbar to print, save, or mail your Bookbag.

 

Limiters allow you to narrow searches by a number of criteria including interest level, reading level, publishing year, and material type.
